Privacy message from the Director-General

Protecting your personal information is our job! Every day, a vast amount of personal information is given to State Government Departments and Agencies.

The Queensland Government respects your privacy and has established rules to ensure that your personal information is protected.

The Government has approved the introduction of Information Standard 42 - Information Privacy to ensure State Government agencies protect the privacy and security of personal information about individuals.

All personal information held by Queensland Government Departments and Agencies must be collected and managed in accordance with 11 Information Privacy Principles. New guidelines cover the collection, storage, security, accuracy, use and disclosure of personal information.

For more information, read our brochure Queensland privacy: Information for clients [PDF 50kb] or order a hardcopy.

Alternatively, you can download a full copy of our Privacy Plan 2003 [PDF 472kb] or email the privacy contact officer for further information.

The Department of Education, Training and the Arts takes its role in the protection of your personal information very seriously.
