Getting connected to Wired & Wireless
What you need to connect to the Institute network includes:
- a wireless enabled laptop running a Gold Coast Institute of TAFE supported operating system
- a Gold Coast Institute of TAFE staff username and password or a Gold Coast Institute of TAFE student username and password
The minimum requirements for Cisco Secure Services Client are as follows:

Note: support for Windows Vista is not available at this time.

How to access Wired & Wireless at Gold Coast Institute of TAFE
The setup process consists of the following steps:
- configure Internet Explorer proxy setting
- install Cisco Secure Services Client v4.0
- check that you are in a Wired & Wireless zone [PDF 463kb] at Gold Coast Institute of TAFE
- check your wireless adapter is enabled
Once you have logged in, you will need to map drives and connect printers using the TConnect web site. Instructions for this site are included in the user guide [PDF 1.01mb].
