What qualifications are required to work at Gold Coast Institute of TAFE?


Teachers
Must be qualified in the industry area which you want to teach, have at least 5 years recent, relevant industry experience and a minimum teaching qualification of Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.

Tutors
Must be qualified to at least equal the level of the course or courses to which you wish to be assigned. Also, will have completed, or agree to complete, a course in an approved Instructional Skills Program (minimum Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training).

What is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and how do I get one?

The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is a nationally-accredited qualification suitable for anyone planning to train, or already involved with training, in the workplace. It is a minimum requirement for anyone wanting to teach or tutor at the Gold Coast Institute of TAFE.

What is the process for applying for an advertised position at Gold Coast Institute of TAFE?

When applying for an advertised position at the Gold Coast Institute of TAFE it is important to obtain an application pack as detailed in the advertisement and read carefully.

Typically, a Gold Coast Institute of TAFE recruitment and selection process would involve the submission of a resume or CV and a written response to the Key Selection Criteria, as outlined in the position description.

The written applications would be short listed on merit by a selection panel, and the successful short listed applicants would be invited to attend an interview.
