School's program
Gold Coast Institute of TAFE offers the opportunity for high school students in year 10, 11 and 12 to attend Gold Coast TAFE one day per week during the school term over 1 or 2 years to complete Certificate II or III training programs.
Gain credit points towards the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). A Certificate II course will gain 4 points and a Certificate III courses will gain 8 points. You will also gain credits towards a TAFE Diploma and then gain credits towards further studies at University, and gain direct entry into a corresponding Diploma program at Gold Coast Institute of TAFE once you complete high school.

School-based apprenticeships and traineeships
Gain a qualification while you finish high school. Achieve credit points towards your Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). Increase your job opportunities when you complete a part-time apprenticeship or traineeship through Gold Coast Institute of TAFE. Visit the Apprenticeships and traineeships page for more information.
School visits
School visits to your school can be arranged. A representative from Gold Coast Institute of TAFE can talk at parade, assembly, in class groups or individual career consultations about a particular industry/course area or about courses and benefits of becoming a Gold Coast Institute of TAFE student. Schools open day
Students will experience different activities and displays from Hair, Beauty & Fashion, the Academy of Natural Therapies, Nursing, Aged Care, Children's Services, Community Services, Fitness, Tourism & Hospitality, Business, Multimedia, Graphic Design, IT, Music, Live Production, Screen, Building and all the Trades.
Our Schools Open Day is to inform high school students as to the career paths available to them here at Gold Coast Institute of TAFE and beyond. It is also a great opportunity for us to showcase the Institute's products and services.
