In South East Queensland, an increasing population has driven demand for skilled trades people in many areas of industry. Gold Coast Institute of TAFE is leading the way in providing pre-vocational programs to ensure students are knowledgeable and industry ready prior to seeking apprenticeships. Provided with hands-on, industry relevant, practical traning, our pre-apprenticeship graduates leave us fully prepared to obtain on apprenticeship, taking their place among the industry's future lead craftsmen.
Pre-apprenticeship programs are offered at Ashmore campus and Coomera campus.

Gold Coast Institute of TAFE offers traineeship and apprenticeship training in a range of areas including business, retail, hospitality, community services, automotive and construction. Trainees and apprentices receive quality training and teaching from staff that are industry qualified, professional, experienced and give expert instruction. On completion, the trainee or apprentice will be a qualified, skilled employee contributing towards increased productivity, and will have a national standard qualification that is recognised by industry.
